Allegra Klein is an arts administrator from New York City. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in music from Harvard University, she worked for Carnegie Hall, Sony Classical, and the Marlboro Music Festival. In 1988, she formed her own company, Sterling Music Ensembles, and following the events of September 11, 2001, she founded Musicians For Harmony, a non-profit organization striving for world peace through the unifying language of music. In 2003, she traveled to Baghdad, where she brought musical instruments, supplies, and funds to the Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra; her article about this trip was published the following year in Strings magazine. For the past two years, she has been a member of the Program Committee of the Harvard Club of New York City, for which she organizes about a dozen recital and opera concerts per season. She is currently Director of Operations for the New York Youth Symphony and serves on the Board of the Youth Orchestra Division of the American Symphony Orchestra League.
